Closing Time

Congratulations! You’ve made it this far, and it’s finally time for closing. There are just a few more things that need to happen before you can finally, officially sell your home. The final walk-through is an important consideration, since it’s a chance for the buyer to reexamine the home and make sure everything is in good working order. They will check to see that everything functions well, there is no hidden damage they might have missed the first time, etc. You can ensure that this walk-through goes as smoothly and quickly as possible by taking care of any last-minute problems and making your home as clean and welcoming as possible. After the walk-through process comes the official closing. You will receive a settlement statement that covers everything both you and the buyer need to know about the sale. Once you and the buyer have signed the documents and made payment arrangements, it’s time to hand over the keys and anything else the new owner might need. You’re finally finished!
