As is the case with any major transaction, a few tips can help you navigate the process with ease.

  • Start readying your home for sale as soon as possible. To avoid a mad-dash before your first open house, you will want to use staging techniques (such as neutral walls and furniture, clean rooms and freshly-planted flowers, etc.) to make your home one that potential buyers can envision themselves in.
  • Don’t jump at the first offer. While we will always be at your side to determine whether or not an offer is worth taking, this is just a bit of general advice that sellers should keep in mind. You’ve put a lot of time, work and memories into your home—be sure that it goes for a fair price!
  • When in doubt, ask your agent. The real estate process can be tricky, and your agent is there for you at every step of the way. Whether you need help putting your home on the market or are confused by a particular document, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. We can erase any questions and confusions you may have in order to make the selling process a more enjoyable one.
