Before selling your home, there are a few key things to consider. Asking yourself these questions will help you to achieve a clearer mind and better idea of the process ahead.

  1. Why do you want to sell?  The first question askyourself before selling your home is, of course… why do you want to sell? There are hundreds of reasons you may be ready to sell your home, from needing more room for a growing family, moving to a new job, etc. Whatever your reason may be, it can help us, your real estate professionals, get your home sold within the right time parameters.
  2. If you’re selling your home, when is the best time to do it?  Like many sellers, you may think the answer to this question is “right now!”While we understand the time pressures you may be under, it’s worth knowing that the market is in a constant state of flux, and there may be more optimal times to sell your home depending on your area and the state of the market. With our experience and knowledge of the industry, we can help you determine when that is.
  3. Is the market healthy enough for you to sell?  Before deciding to sell your home, you will naturally have several questions. One of the biggest ones is whether or not the market is at a healthy place, and whether selling now would turn a profit or result in loss. We know the market and will make a dedicated effort to ensure that your home sees success during its time on the market.
  4. Can you afford it?  You may have a general idea of your own finances, but we can help you put that information to use by analyzing the costs (both upfront and, often, hidden) that go into selling your home. After you talk with us, you will feel a sense of confidence and command of your finances.
